Every Single Penny Counts!

It doesn't matter how much you can give, what's important is that you do.

Many of our group members regularly get involved with car boot sales, coffee mornings, gala fundraisers and individual local collections. These activities all take a great deal of time to organise and execute, but are a great way for us to improve our fundraising efforts.

Do you have a 'penny-jar' that just seems to sit there?
Have you recently come into money and want to put something back into the community?

Social responsibility has become quite a buzz word of late, and companies are encouraged to help put something back into their local communities.

Why not consider choosing Cancer and Us as your Charity of the Year or even hold a one off fundraising event for our cause?

There are many ways that companies have helped us in the past and last year a local company Wetherby Building Systems Ltd decided that instead of sending Christmas cards to their clients, they'd donate the monies to us instead.

There are so many things you could do as an individual or group to help us to raise funds - a sponsored car wash, sponsored walk, a coffee morning, a bring and buy sale, a local half marathon ... the list is truly endless!

We have also had instances where members who have sadly passed away have kindly left a legacy to the group.

We cannot stress too strongly the enormous value of gifts in wills to Cancer and Us and what a wonderful way for your generosity to last beyond your lifetime.

We want to make it easy for people to donate if they so wish and as well as the traditional methods of cash or cheque, we now offer the facility to donate via PayPal which offers a secure debit/credit card donation facility and which also generates a donation receipt as proof of your generosity!
